Texas Performing Arts Appoints Dana Munson as Director of Marketing & Sales
Tom O’Connor Consulting Group (TOCG) is pleased to announce that Dana Munson has been appointed Director of Marketing & Sales by Texas Performing Arts (Bob Bursey, Executive and Artistic Director) in Austin, Texas following our extensive national search led by Cynthia Fuhrman, Vice President of Executive Search and Brenna Thomas, Search Consultant. Dana Munson will join TPA as Director of Marketing and Sales on September 1, leading the organization’s marketing, ticketing, and communications.

Dana Munson brings over two decades of experience in arts administration, with a distinguished career in marketing, community engagement, and special events. Most recently, he served as Director of Marketing at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he led high-impact campaigns for major productions, including The Infinite, an immersive VR space experience that drew 30,000 attendees and generated $1.6 million in sales.
Dana has held senior marketing roles at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, and The Cowles Center for Dance & the Performing Arts in Minneapolis. His leadership has consistently driven record-breaking ticket sales, innovative audience development strategies, and meaningful community partnerships. Dana holds a degree from Concordia University and is an alumnus of the American Express Leadership Academy, Theatre Communications Group’s Rising Leaders of Color program, and a 2025 graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County.
