Ep. 10 | Disability Inclusion in the Arts: Sarah Hom and Sarah Kenny

On the left is a photo of Sarah Hom standing outside on a street with greenery around her. She is a Chinese woman in her 40s with chin length black hair and black, grey, and golden yellow glasses. In her right hand she is gripping the worn handle of a cane. Sarah Hom is wearing a black skirt and a bright green blazer with a dark green top underneath. On the right is a photo of Sarah Kenny, a white woman in her mid-30s with shoulder-length brown hair. Sarah Kenny is wearing all black with a yellow blazer and colorful necklace. Sarah Kenny poses with her hand on her hip and is smiling brightly.

Tom sits down with Sarah Hom of Roundabout Theatre Company and Sarah Kenny of Disney Theatrical Group to talk about the importance of disability inclusion in the arts, from creators to audience members, and their work to make Broadway more inclusive. In this conversation, they go beyond compliance to talk about the ways in which disability inclusion ensures that your artistic product is fully complete, and available to the 25% of the population that identifies as disabled.
